Company Profile
Custom Automation Technologies, Inc. (CAT) was started in
November of 2001 by Dan Hoehnen. It was formed from Dan's previous
company, Hone Software, which produced the ACE home automation software.
Dan holds a B.S. in Electrical
Engineering from The Ohio State
University. He has built 3
homes in the Columbus area since
1989, each with increasing
levels of technology and
automation.
Dan's current home includes much
of the technology that CAT
regularly installs, so he and
his family live with and use the
same products as his customers. Dan's 5 children (all boys) and
technology-challenged wife serve
as excellent testers for
durability and ease of use.
CAT continues to grow and introduce new products
and services. In 2006, CAT
became an AMX dealer, an HAI
Five Star Dealer, and opened a
showroom/design center.
