Video Distribution
Video distribution allows for
all video sources to be viewed
on any TV. We all
distribute our cable and
satellite to all TV's already.
You can also distribute the
family room DVD player and the
baby room's camera so that any
TV in the house can watch the
movie playing in the family
room, or keep tabs on the baby.
If infrared (IR) is also
distributed then you can even
control the family room DVD
player from another room.
Our standard cable TV outlet
contains 2 cable connections
(RG6 quad shield), 1
network connection (CAT5e), and
1 phone connection
(CAT5e). This allows for a
satellite box that requires a
phone connection to be used at
any location. It also
allows for any location to have
a video source component (DVD,
VCR, etc.) that can be
distributed around the house and
viewed on TV's in other rooms.
For example, the DVD player in
the family room can be viewed
from the playroom TV or the rec
room TV. Finally, the
network jack allows for
streaming media to be
sent/received over the wired
network without relying on a
wireless network.
